Apple Music Classical
L'Irlande a apporté une riche contribution à la musique classique. Le compositeur romantique John Field a par exemple inventé le nocturne, cette forme musicale intimiste qui nous plonge dans la nuit, et à laquelle Chopin donnera plus tard ses lettres de noblesse. Pendant la période moderne, Stanford a combiné le romantisme tardif aux musiques traditionnelles insulaires, quand Balfe a régné avec d’autres compositeurs irlandais sur l’opéra britannique.
