TwoSet Violin

Since around 2013, TwoSet Violin (violinists Brett Yang and Eddy Chen) have entertained, informed and charmed their millions of fans with insightful and entertaining pokes at all aspects of classical music. Whether finding comedy in violin technique, lampooning piano accompanists, parodying music lessons or attempting to play orchestral audition pieces, TwoSet have succeeded in opening up what are often regarded as the arcane and highly specialist worlds of student and professional musicians. Yang and Chen were born in Taiwan and brought up in Australia. They first met at an after-school maths club, and became friends years later after recognising one another at a Queensland Youth Orchestra rehearsal. In 2016, they gave up their respective posts at the Sydney and Queensland Symphony Orchestras to devote more time to TwoSet, embarking on sell-out live shows and tours. In 2022 TwoSet Violin released Fantasia, the soundtrack to their conceptual short film of the same name.
