德國雙簧管演奏家 Albrecht Mayer 從小接受鋼琴及聲樂教育，十歲時轉而學習雙簧管。班貝格交響樂團是他演奏事業的起點；1992 年，年僅二十七歲的他就出任柏林愛樂的首席雙簧管手。他在獨奏方面也成就非凡，曾發行過多張暢銷的巴洛克專輯，而演奏當代法國木管樂作品也備受推崇。Albrecht Mayer 曾與阿巴多 (Claudio Abbado) 和哈農庫特 (Nikolaus Harnoncourt) 等指揮大師合作演出，亦經常與不同領域的音樂家切磋，成功提升雙簧管在當代古典樂界的地位。
