Meisterhaft vereint Dirigent Alexander Shelley mit dem NAC Orchestra neue und alte Welten: Einerseits erklingt Dvořáks 9. Sinfonie, die die tschechische Heimat des Komponisten mit amerikanischer Kultur verbindet, andererseits Ana Sokolovićs „Golden Slumbers Kiss Your Eyes…“ von 2015. Die Serbin verließ ihre kriegserschütterte Heimat und beschäftigt sich seither in ihrer Arbeit mit der Tradition europäischer Volkslieder. Migration, sowie Sehnsucht nach Erneuerung und Verbundenheit zu Altbekanntem erfahren durch Shelley eine hinreißende Interpretation.
