Francesco Bendusi

This Italian composer holds an important place in the history of music. The few pieces of Bendusi's that survive are contained in a collection of dance pieces. They are the earliest of their kind from Italy not only in their presence but also because the dances are referred to by their genre or by the tunes which they employ. ~ Keith Johnson
