Biography
This German composer was an organist at Ahrensburg, and later, in Hamburg, he devoted himself to the violin. Becker wrote "Musicalische Fruhlings-Fruchte" a collection of suites and sonatas. In this work there are no bar lines and a number of musical corrections delineated at the end of each part. Becker was considered to be the violinist extraordinaire during his life. This is indicated in the composition of his chamber works. ~ Keith Johnson
