Sarah Kirkland Snider

Composer Sarah Kirkland Snider has been active in the orchestral, choral, and theatrical worlds since the early 2000s, developing a body of work situated at the crossroads of contemporary music, vocal writing, and influences drawn from independent music. Her musical language, often centered on narrative and orchestral texture, extends across song cycles as well as symphonic and multimedia works. Among her notable releases is Sarah Kirkland Snider: Forward Into Light (2026), recorded by the Metropolis Ensemble under the direction of Andrew Cyr, bringing together several of her orchestral compositions.
