Tempesta di Mare

The Baroque orchestra Tempesta di Mare, based in Philadelphia, has been one of the few American early music ensembles to gain attention in Britain and continental Europe; it records for the Chandos label and appears at a variety of European festivals. The ensemble was named after several Vivaldi concertos named La Tempesta di Mare ("The Storm at Sea"). It has sometimes been known as the Philadelphia Baroque Orchestra Chamber Players or simply as the Philadelphia Baroque Orchestra. Tempesta di Mare has a substantial recording catalog that includes 2024's Johann Friedrich Fasch: Orchestral Works, Vol. 4.
