Biography

Conductor, instrumentalist, and educator Conrado del Campo played a profound role in Spanish musical life in the first half of the 20th century. He co-founded the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, was a major practitioner of the tone poem in Spain, and taught for many years at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid.
