Henri Bertini

Biography

This French composer and pianist, whose numbers of works exceeded 200, was most noted for the teaching aspects of his compositions. Henri's most important teacher was his brother who had studied with Clementi; Clementi's influence is apparent in Bertini's compositions. Though not much of his music was published -- rondos, fantasies, symphonies -- a nonet, sextets and a number of chamber pieces were processed. ~ Keith Johnson
