Mit dieser seltenen Einspielung von Leonard Bernsteins „Mass“ bringt der kanadische Dirigent Yannick Nézet-Séguin ein kolossales Werk zu vollständiger Ausformulierung. 1971 im Auftrag von Jackie Kennedy komponiert, erfordert Bernsteins Arrangement nichts weniger als zwei vollständige Orchesterbesetzungen, zwei Chöre, einen Kinderchor, eine Marschkapelle und eine Rockband.
