Baude Cordier

This French song writer was probably a native of Rheims. Mass movements and ballades are inclusive of his known works. Cordier's Mass movements indicated slight rhythmic variations (he did not wish to lose the approval of the church) and the ballade (provding a longer format) afforded him the opportunity to experiment with double and triple meters within the same measures. ~ Keith Johnson
