Johann Georg Heinrich Backofen

Johann Georg Heinrich Backofen was a performer who played the harp, clarinet and alto clarinet in F. His teachers were Gruber and Brickman but Johann also became facile with the flute. Backofen taught the harp and produced clarinets writing a guide to this instrument in its two voices as well as an instrution manuel for the harp -- especially as an accompanying instrument for his "other" instruments. ~ Keith Johnson
