Luigi Borghi

As a friend of Sir William Hamilton, Borghi was able to settle in London. Before this occasion presented itself, however, he had studied with Pugnani in his native Italy. His forte was violin and as well as composition. Borghi's compositions included concertos (particularly for cello and violin) and music for the ballet. His music clearly represents the "galant" style and his works were produced, printed and sold in England and Italy. ~ Keith Johnson
