On 11 November 1918, in a railway car located in the French Forest of Compiègne, an armistice ending the First World War was signed. This playlist features pieces remembering and paying tribute to those who gave their lives in the Great War, but also acknowledges senseless and appalling loss elsewhere, including the Holocaust, 9/11 and Hiroshima.
