Evgeni Bozhanov

With a highly unorthodox playing style that requires him to travel with his own piano stool, pianist Evgeni Bozhanov won major prizes early in his career. He was partly trained in the West and quickly gained attention there as well as in his native Bulgaria. Bozhanov is a charismatic player who has appeared as a soloist at major halls in Europe, North America, and East Asia, but he is also an enthusiastic chamber musician. In 2024, he joined violinist Akiko Suwanai on a recording of Brahms' complete violin sonatas.
