Johannes Cesaris

A French composer of motets, ballads, and rondeaux. Cesaris experimented with the use of two texts, independent of one another, with an occasional third voice without text. Other characteristics of his music include ornate meters, a relationship between the rhythms of different voices, and a certin understanding of stylistic changes that were occurring throughout his life. ~ Keith Johnson
