Biography

English composer and lutenist who was active at the turn of the 17th century. He was considered an highly acclaimed lute composer (copies of his works appear in other documents and collections) though his name did appear in the poor-rate books in 1583. Charming and lyrical melodies can be found in Cutting's alamains, galliards and pavans. ~ Keith Johnson
