Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective
Biography
Britain's Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective is a shifting ensemble of musicians with a single aim: the celebration of diversity in all its forms. The group was formed in 2017 by composer and pianist Tom Poster and violinist Elena Urioste and has attracted interest and participation from some of Britain's most prominent musicians. The list of players who have participated in Kaleidoscope concerts or plan to do so is long and includes such prominent names as Alison Balsom and violinist Nicola Benedetti. The Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective made a live appearance on BBC Radio 3 in 2020, performing music by Reynaldo Hahn and Florence Price. In 2021, the group released its first album, American Quintets, featuring works by Amy Beach, Samuel Barber, and Price. In 2024, it released Brahms & Contemporaries, Vol. 1, featuring music by Luise Adolpha Le Beau.
