Diego Fernández de Huete

Biography

Diego Fernández de Huete was a Spanish harpist, composer, and theorist. He is likely to have studied theory with Andrés Lorente and harp with Juan de Navas. Between 1681 and 1710, Huete was the harpist at Toledo Cathedral. His major publication was Compendio numeroso de zifras armónicas, con theórica, y pràctica para arpa, and his most famous composition was the Zarambeque Criollo.
