Vincenzo Ciampi

Ciampi was an Italian operatic composer who also wrote arias, oratorios, masses and instrumental works that included sonatas, concertos, and overtures. His music combined the Baroque and courtly styles by using "short" epithets of Baroque passages inserted into the music. Ciampi's vocal music contained noteworthy efforts with flashes of spirit and credibility. ~ Keith Johnson
