Charles Wesley

Discouraged from pursuing music as a professional career by his father, even though his talents as a child were prodigious, Wesley did not fulfill his potential. He did study organ with Kelway and composed conservative pieces for organ and piano after becoming an excellent organist. Wesley settled at St. Marylebone parish church as the church organist. ~ Keith Johnson
