In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was taking piano lessons and I hated them, especially the musical theory bits, but my favorite part of the process was listening to my favorite pop songs, usually something by Britney Spears, and translating it to piano, and singing along. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Next Step” Newly single, not yet over my big breakup, I started dating again. Lo and behold, the old me, the hopeless romantic who fell in love with everyone he met, was still there. I wasn't ready, but still I found myself wanting to make it to the next step.
