Biography

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is among the leading orchestral groups in Texas. The Symphony often works with other arts groups, including the Fort Worth Opera and the Texas Ballet Theater, as well as with country musicians of various kinds. It is the host ensemble for the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, held every four years in Fort Worth. Among the orchestra's various recordings are several made in conjunction with that competition, including a recording of Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, Op. 30, featuring pianist Yunchan Lim and released in 2025; the album reproduced a winning performance from the 2022 Cliburn Competition.
