Biography
"The Centennial Meditation," "Light of Asia," and "The Legend of Don Munio" exemplify the secular cantatas and strongest work of this American composer and organist. His reputation as an organist almost preceded him to Chicago (which was a short-lived stay because of the Chicago fire) but he gained further repute with the sacred piece "The Forty-sixth Psalm". During his productive years he composed a number of anthems, hymns, and works for orchestra, organ and piano. ~ Keith Johnson
