來自中國的鋼琴家郎朗，具有全球性的音樂視野，並熱衷於融合各種文化。2006 年的專輯《Dragon Songs》中，他便以具有魅力的鋼琴演奏呈現中國民謠，並與傳統樂器合奏，串連起東西方音樂風格。專輯中的選曲也包括頗具爭議的〈黃河鋼琴協奏曲〉，這首受愛國主題詩歌啟發，改編自 1939 年聲樂作品〈黃河大合唱〉的協奏曲，在文化大革命時期是少數被允許公開表演的樂曲之一，郎朗的重新演繹也讓當代樂迷再次聽見這部二十世紀的經典音樂作品。
