Debussy: Sonatas and Piano Trio

The crème de la crème of francophone chamber musicians give us three Debussy sonatas, the Piano Trio, and his languid, heavenly Syrinx for solo flute. There is a wonderful rapport between pianist Bertrand Chamayou and Renaud Capuçon in the Violin Sonata, and with young Edgar Moreau in the Cello Sonata; it's magical when all three come together for the Piano Trio. The Sonata for flute, viola, and harp (Emmanuel Pahud, Gérard Caussé, and Marie-Pierre Langlamet) is ravishing.
