Rachel Bolt

Violist Rachel Bolt has been active as a soloist and orchestra musician, serving as the principal in many of England's leading orchestras. Bolt served as the principal violist of the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields for 15 years; she held this position for several other prestigious ensembles in England as well, including the Philharmonia Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, and Britten Sinfonia, among others. As a soloist, Bolt has performed at London's Wigmore Hall and Purcell Room; she has also appeared on recordings with influential pop musicians such as Adele and Joni Mitchell, and on hundreds of soundtracks for film and television.
