Jacob Greenberg
Biography
An important force in contemporary music, Jacob Greenberg is active as a pianist, composer, educator, producer, vocal coach, and podcaster. In 2009, Greenberg made his recording debut as an accompanist, backing baritone Alexander Hurd on the album Shadow of the Blues. His solo album debut, Solitary, appeared the following year. Greenberg has frequently toured with soprano Tony Arnold; the pair recorded Olivier Messiaen's Harawi in 2013. Greenberg's most durable association is with the International Contemporary Ensemble, with which he has performed across the Western hemisphere and Europe. He heads the ensemble's in-house Tundra label. In 2021, his recording Bright Codes was released on Tundra.
