His Majesties Sagbutts and Cornetts

The durable brass ensemble His Majestys Sagbutts and Cornetts specializes in music of the 16th and 17th centuries, performing and recording on historically appropriate instruments. The group is among the more durable early music ensembles on the British scene. The core ensemble, expanded as necessary, consists of four sackbuts and two cornetts, often accompanied by a harpsichord or small organ.
