Il Gusto Barocco

The German early music group Il Gusto Barocco is flexible in size, performing works in genres ranging from chamber music to opera. The ensemble draws on a stable of young musicians, many of them drawn from the ranks of recent university graduates, and some members are researchers or educators as well as performers. Il Gusto Barocco is based in Stuttgart and has founded its own concert series there. The group has performed and recorded several newly discovered operas, and in 2025, it released the world premiere recording of Antonia Bembo's L'Ercole amante.
