Biography

Montreal-born Christophe Beck is an award-winning TV and film composer best known for scoring movie music for the Frozen, Ant-Man, and The Hangover franchises. ∙ Along with his brother Chilly Gonzales, then in the band Son, he collaborated on the 1997 album Wolfstein. ∙ In 1998, he won an Emmy Award for his music featured in a Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series episode. ∙ Beck’s original score for the 2010 documentary Waiting for Superman was honored with a Hollywood Music in Media Award. ∙ His work for the 2013 Frozen soundtrack—which topped the Billboard 200 chart—earned him a Grammy nomination in the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media category.
