Peter Jablonski

Biography

Peter Jablonski is a pianist with a strong commitment to contemporary music in addition to traditional repertory. Jablonski released his debut album, a recording of Gershwin's Piano Concerto in F with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Vladimir Ashkenazy, in 1991. For many years, Jablonski toured with and recorded traditional 19th and early 20th century repertory, much of it Russian. Increasingly, Jablonski has featured contemporary music in his programming, working with such composers as Arvo Pärt and Witold Lutosławski and often giving premieres of new works. Jablonski has occasionally been active as a conductor, making his debut in that role with the Sibelius Symphony No. 1 in E minor, Op. 39, with the Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra in 2008. In 2025, Jablonski released a recording of the Two Piano Concertos and Piano Sonata by André Tchaikovsky.
