Genia Kühmeier is one of Austria's leading sopranos and an international attraction in opera and concert works. With the role of Pamina in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, K. 620, as a signature, Kühmeier has performed and recorded mostly German-language material from Mozart to Mahler. She has worked with leading conductors in both the mainstream and historical performance realms. She has a substantial recording catalog, and a recording of Mozart's Requiem in D minor, K. 626, that she made in 2017 with the Chor & Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks was released in 2024.
