In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is my father practising the guitar at home. I remember being so moved that I cried, without knowing why. Long before I played an instrument, music already went straight to my heart. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most meaningful moments of my career was recording music by female composers nearly erased from history. Giving voice to something that had been silent for centuries was a profoundly transformative experience.
