New York Polyphony

Biography

New York Polyphony is a male vocal quartet that has been praised for a distinctive blend that conveys the impression of a much larger ensemble. The group has a repertory dating back as far as Gregorian chant and has performed and recorded rare and newly discovered medieval and Renaissance pieces, but the commissioning of original pieces has been central to its efforts. New York Polyphony tours extensively, performing internationally in top concert halls and participating in major festivals in the U.S. and beyond; venues on the group's concert schedule have included Wigmore and Cadogan Halls in London, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, and the Stavanger Kammermusikkfestival in Norway. The group's growing recording catalog, much of it on the BIS label, includes the 2025 release Sky of My Heart.
