Chad Kelly

British harpsichordist Chad Kelly found many new engagements after moving to Australia in 2021. A versatile musician, Kelly has also been active as a conductor, composer, arranger, and educator. Committed to historical performance practice, Kelly appeared as a harpsichordist with various leading ensembles in Britain and continental Europe, often performing at festivals. He served as principal harpsichordist for the historical performance group Solomon's Knot, and he has often accompanied violinist Rachel Podger. Kelly worked on the world premieres of Thomas Adès' opera The Exterminating Angel at the Salzburg Festival. He made his recording debut in 2023, appearing as harpsichordist and providing arrangements on Podger's Bach: Goldberg Variations Reimagined.
