Yves Castagnet

The longtime principal organist at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, Yves Castagnet is also a composer, accompanist, and educator. In addition to an international solo career, he often accompanies the choirs of the La Maîtrise de Notre-Dame choir school, as well as solo singers and instrumentalists. Castagnet gained international visibility when his Magnificat was performed by singers of La Maîtrise de Notre-Dame at the reopening of Notre-Dame in 2024, after a five-year fire-related closure; the recording was released that year in a performance by La Maîtrise de Notre-Dame.
