Cristina Anghelescu

One of Romania's leading orchestral musicians, violinist Cristina Anghelescu has also had a substantial solo career. She appeared as a concerto soloist around the East Bloc and then, after the fall of Communism, worldwide. Anghelescu's recording catalog dates back to the 1980s. In the late '90s, she recorded the two violin concertos of composer George Lloyd, and those recordings were reissued by the Lyrita label in 2024.
