Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Anita Cerquetti, Gianandrea Gavazzeni, Mario Rossi, Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Orchestra sinfonica e Coro di Torino della RAI, Anita Cerquetti - A Vocal Portrait I’ve recently been captivated by Anita Cerquetti’s raw, authentic performances. Regarded as one of the most powerful and dramatic sopranos of her generation, her relatively short career only adds to her allure and lasting impact. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? A few highlights include performing my beloved Mozart concertos with the Cleveland Orchestra and collaborating with Yuja Wang and Gustavo Dudamel at the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? After performing over 60 piano concertos, I’m returning to Schubert’s solo works. Their intimacy and emotional depth resonate deeply, capturing the Proustian concept of time and unlocking a central part of humanity: memory.
