Ryan MacEvoy McCullough

Ryan MacEvoy McCullough is an American pianist, composer, and arranger whose work centers on avant-garde and contemporary repertoire. He currently teaches at Bard College Conservatory of Music and is a member of the two-piano ensemble HereNowHear. His recording career began in 2008 with an album of piano music by Miłosz Magin. Subsequent projects include Descent/Return (2020), containing art song and solo piano works by John Harbison and James Primosch, with soprano Lucy Fitz Gibbon. His 2022 release the labor of forgetting reflects an ongoing commitment to emerging composers. HereNowHear's first album, built around Karlheinz Stockhausen's MANTRA, was issued in 2024, and he took part in the recording of Maksimal, a collection of music by Daniel Temkin two years later.
