Edward Picton-Turbervill

Edward Picton-Turbervill is an English composer, vocalist, and keyboard accompanist. In his own works, he centers the human voice and frequently weaves together spiritual and environmental themes. His oratorio Out of Eden, full of expressive choral writing that combines a clear sense of tonality with lush dissonances, exemplifies his artistic voice. He works as organist and youth music coordinator at St. John the Divine, Kennington. His compositions for voice and piano were included on All Shall Be Well (2025). The year 2026 saw an album of his song cycles, Listen. It is here, and a performance of Out of Eden along with other choral works on the album Eden. Picton-Turbervill has a rapidly growing list of accompanist credits on albums such as pianist on The Music of Malcolm Arnold.
