Giulio D'Alessio
Biography
Giulio D'Alessio is a violinist, violist, and artistic director specializing in historically informed performances of 17th and 18th century repertoire. A co-founder of the ensemble Il Pomo d'Oro in 2012, he has spent several decades combining instrumental performance with artistic direction and record production. His work is distinguished by a sustained commitment to rediscovering the Baroque musical heritage and by collaborations with many of today's leading performers. Among his notable achievements is Serenata a Napoli (2025), an album devoted to the Neapolitan song tradition that reflects his interest in repertoire at the crossroads of art music and popular tradition.
