Ismaël Margain

Biography

Ismaël Margain studied multiple instruments before focusing on piano at the Paris Conservatory, and at age 20, he won a prize at the Long-Thibaud International Competition and received an award nomination as an upcoming instrumental soloist. Margain has performed at the finest Paris venues, including the Salle Gaveau, Auditorium du Louvre, and Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. He is an associate artist of the Singer-Polignac Foundation, winner of the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe prize, and supported by multiple cultural foundations. In 2010, Margain formed a four-hand piano partnership with Guillaume Bellom, and the duo recorded two albums devoted to Mozart and Schubert. In 2025, Margain released an album of music by Ravel and Mel Bonis with violinist Clémence de Forceville.
