Desmond Earley

As the founding artistic director of the Choral Scholars of University College Dublin, Desmond Earley has built the group into a distinctive ensemble of international significance. He is also active as a composer, arranger, editor, and keyboard player. He has often appeared in the U.S., where he has served as a visiting director at several schools, and his best-known composition, Body of the Moon, was commissioned and composed there. Earley has made several recordings with the Choral Scholars on the Signum Classics label, including 2024's Chamber Music by James Joyce, Vol. 1.
