Denis Raisin Dadre

Veteran wind player Denis Raisin Dadre was the longtime director of the ensemble Doulce Mémoire. That group was known for Raisin Dadre's stage productions that re-created something of the setting in which Renaissance works were originally performed. Raisin Dadre was also a significant educator. With Doulce Mémoire, he amassed a substantial recording catalog that included the 2024 release Ronsard et la musique. Raisin Dadre was a professor of early music at the Conservatoire de Tours (CRR). He remained the director of Doulce Mémoire until his death in Tours on September 29, 2025.
