The Call of Rome
Le chœur Sixteen de Harry Christopher rend hommage à Rome, haut lieu de pèlerinages et capitale des arts qui a inspiré de nombreux compositeurs européens. Ici, Josquin (Franco-Flamand) et Victoria (Espagnol) rejoignent Anerio et Allegri, deux musiciens qui ont passé leur vie à Rome au service des chapelles papales. Le Miserere d’Allegri, une des polyphonies les plus célèbres jamais écrites, est au centre de cet « Appel de Rome », auquel l’ensemble Sixteen répond avec force et ferveur.
