In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first musical memories come from playing piano and percussion in music school. I was fascinated by trying to understand what was going on in the music and, as soon as I felt I understood it, I would look for something new that challenged me again. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alain Damiens, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Boulez: Répons & Dialogue de L'ombre Double Asko Ensemble, Reinbert de Leeuw, Schönberg Ensemble, Louis Andriessen: De Materie ensemble recherche, Abrahamsen: Schnee I love complexity, beautiful orchestration, and seamlessly integrated electronics. This music shaped me as a composer and taught me that art can be complex, beautiful, and meaningful in ways that words cannot express.
