British pianist Mark Viner has distinguished himself through his commitment to the neglected corners of the Romantic repertoire. First prize winner at the Alkan-Zimmerman International Piano Competition in Athens in 2012, he has since built a career centered on the rediscovery of singular figures, foremost among them Charles-Valentin Alkan.
