Hannah Kendall

Composer Hannah Kendall has gained wide attention for tightly constructed works that include material and ideas from outside classical traditions. In the words of her website, "Her work bridges gaps between different musical cultures, both honouring and questioning the contemporary tradition while telling new stories through it." Kendall is based in New York, where she was partly trained. The 2025 album Hannah Kendall: Shouting Forever into the Receiver was devoted entirely to her music.
